Gallery organization: Almost every image had a caption typed on the back. So the first frame is the image, the next frame is the back caption. Many of the captions have A/C numbers, some have bomb group or bomb squadron IDs.
To download (it's free): When you see a photo you want, scroll to the top right hand corner of it. A pop-up menu will come down. Select the size you want (I suggest at least large) and once the photo is opened in the bigger size you can "right click" on it to save as to your personal computer.
Each of these photos is stored in the photographic images department of the National Archives in College Park, MD.
